This months' musical selection is dedicated to David, my Pasty Brit friend. ;-)

Click here for a brief list of important dates for Rats to keep in mind in the coming weeks.
Meeting Called to disorder at 7:19pm

In attendance: Paul Braun, Micky Bravo, Tina Farmer, Tessa Johnson, Chuck Kaffka, and Bill Mezger.

1. Reading of the minutes from last meeting was waived and approved by those in attendance.

2. Old Business
A. Renaissance Faire: The PAC Rats annual pilgrimage to the Bristol Renaissance Faire took place on Sunday, August 5. Although most of us left late, we still arived with enough time to enjoy The Mud Show, Moonie the Magnificent, The Swordsmen, musical entertainment and other attractions. Thanks to everyone who attended. (If people have any pictures from the Renaissance Faire, please see Paul Braun.)

B. Summer Kiddie Show Wrap-Up: Ellie Shunko directed Michelle Vacca's adaptation of The Emperor's New Clothes which was performed in front of mostly enthusiastic audiences on August 18, 19, 25 & 26. The crowds averaged around 100 people for each show. Unfortunately, both Sunday performances were performed inside due to inclement weather the preceeding days. Thanks to everyone who participated and had fun working on the show, (especially the Midnight Show -- pab) and a special thanks to Scott Begin, Min Rubbens, Sarah Staal, and Joey & Mark Tassin for helping out with concessions while the usual concessions suckers were performing on stage.

C. Calumet City Labor Day Parade: Thanks to all those who participated in the Cal City Labor Day parade to help promote the PAC Rats and the Fall Show. Among those who participated were Paul Braun, Jackie Gutowski, Melinda Rubbens, Robert Sterling, Joey and Mark Tassin, Barry, Bethany, Jennifer Zurawicz, and Billy Graham. All 2400 flyers were distributed, and a hundred more flyers would have been helpful.

3. New Business
A. Fall Show: The PAC Rats will be performing three stories for Radio Theatre based on stories by Rudyard Kipling (The Mark of the Beast), Edgar Allen Poe (The Cask of Amontillado), and Mark Twain (The Canterville Ghost) on Friday, October 26, Saturday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 31 at 8pm, with an afternoon matinee on Saturday the 27th at 3pm. Barry Zurawicz will be directing. Help will be needed with ushering, concessions and decorating the lobby circa 1930s. For more information, talk to Barry Zurawicz.

B. Emperor's New Clothes, Part 2: Auditions have not been set at this time for January performances of Emperor's New Clothes. Audition dates and rehearsal schedule will depend on who returns to perform from the Summer cast. More info at a later date.

C. Spring Show -- This just in: The Spring Show will be Lend Me A Tenor, directed by our new Drama instructor, Bobbie (I can't remember her last name). More info on auditions at a later date.

D. Fall Play Outing: Plans are in the works to see a play sometime in October or November. Among the plays being considered are Cabaret at the Drama Group, My Cousin Rachel at the Live Bait Theatre, Late Nite Catechism at the Royal George Theatre, and a Second City production in Chicago. More info at the next meeting.

4. Other Business
A. Suggestions for Next Year: Among the suggestions for next year were going to Great America on a Weekday if Diane Kaffka could get discounted tickets for a weekday, and seeing a Cubs game in June or July so that more people who might be involved in the Summer Kiddie Show could attend.

B. Ooops! There isn't a B.

5. Meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm.

Minutes were taken by Paul and (finally) put up on the web by Ellie.
