PAC Rats Meeting

Meeting Called to disorder at 7:08pm

In Attendance: Dawn and Scott Begin, Paul Braun, Tina Farmer, Chuck and Diane Kaffka, Bill Metzger, Betty Neil, Min Rubbens, Ellie Shunko, Joey Tassin, Heather Young, Barry Zurawicz, (and some name I can't quite read - pab).

1. Reading of the minutes from last meeting was waived and approved by those in attendance.

2. Old business:
Thank yous - Everyone who participated in Sleeping Beauty in January and Shakespeare in February was thanked.

3. New Business
A. Spring Show - Extra bodies are needed for concessions and ushering for the Spring show, Story Theatre. Show dates are Fridays, April 20 & 27 at 7pm, and Saturdays, April 21 & 28 at 3pm & 7pm (Please note the show times, especially in the evenings.). Please try to arrive at least 30 minutes before start of show.

B. Theatre Clean-Up - Theatre clean-up is set for Saturday, April 7 from 12pm to 8pm. Please bring work gloves. Ellie will provide free food sometime during the festivities.

C. Summer Kiddie Show - Ellie Shunko will be directing Michelle Vacca's adaptation of The Emperor's New Clothes this summer. Auditions will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, May 30 & 31 from 7-10pm somewhere in or near the PAC. Show dates will be Saturdays, August 18 & 25 at 11am & 2pm, and Sundays, August 19 & 26 at 3pm in the gazebo.

D. Memorial Day Parade - We will be participating in the South Holland Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28. We will be meeting at Claz Zurawicz before the line up at 10am at the South Holland Community Center (Thornwood High School). Joey Tassin will be in charge of organizing decorations/harassing others to help.

E. Great America - Our annual trip to Great America will be held on either Saturday, June 23 or Sunday, June 24. More info at today's PAC Rats meeting.

F. Renaissance Faire - The PAC Rats annual pilgrimage to the Bristol Renaissance Faire is tentatively set for Sunday, August 5. Most of us will be leaving from the Clan Zurawicz household at 8:30am that morning. If it is out of your way to travel to South Holland, we will meet together at approximately 10:30am just inside the Faire entrance by the message board. Dressing in costume is optional, but highly recommended..

G. Fall Show - The PAC Rats will be performing three stories for Radio Theatre sometime near Halloween. Barry Zurawicz will be directing. Accents (especially British) would be helpful. Auditions will be held shortly after close of Summer Kiddie Show. More on this at next PAC Rats meeting .

4. Other Business
The next PAC Rats meeting will be on Friday, May 4 at 7pm in the PAC Lobby.
