This months' musical selection is dedicated to Gracie and Sarah, fierce new kitties in the Clan Z household. ;-)

Meeting Called to disorder at 7:14pm

In attendance: Paul Braun, Tina Farmer, Jon Jenkins, Tessa (last name not written down), Megan, Barry, Bethany Zurawicz, and Gracie & Sarah (Clan Z's new kittens).

1. Reading of the minutes from last meeting was waived and approved by those in attendance.

2. Old Business
Spring Show Wrap-Up:
Thanks to everyone who helped with concessions for the Spring Show, Story Theatre. These people include: Dawn & Scott Begin, Paul Braun, Diane Richter, Min Rubbens, Joey Tassin, Barry Zurawicz and Bethany Zurawicz. The show was an artistic success (even Ellie liked it!), even though the crowds were small. Thanks go out to the cast and crew for a job well done. Pictures of the show are on the web site: Story Theatre Pictures

3. New Business
A. Theatre Cleanup II:
Theatre cleanup is set for Saturday, May 12 from 12pm to 8pm. Please bring work gloves. Ellie will provide free food sometime during the festivities.

B. Memorial Day Parade: We will be participating in the South Holland Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28. We will be meeting at Clan Zurawicz from 8:00-9:30am to get ready for the line up at 10am at the South Holland Community Center (Thornwood High School). Joey Tassin will be in charge of organizing decorations/harassing others to help. Lots of bubble guns are ready, with squirt guns also planned. Cookout will take place after parade at Clan Zurawicz. (Everyone will be expected to bring something for the cookout.)

C. Summer Kiddie Show: Ellie Shunko will be directing Michelle Vacca's adaptation of The Emperor's New Clothes this summer. Auditions will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, May 30 & 31 from 7-10pm somewhere in or near the PAC. Show dates will be Saturdays, August 18 & 25 at 11am & 2pm, and Sundays, August 19 & 26 at 3pm in the gazebo.

D. Great America: Our annual trip to Great America will be held on Sunday, June 24. We will be leaving from Clan Zurawicz at 8:30am. If it is out of your way to travel to South Holland, we will meet together at approximately 10:30am just inside the park by the Merry-Go-Round.

E. Fourth of July Parade: It was suggested that the PAC Rats participate once again in Dolton's Fourth of July Parade. According to those who attended last year, the parade was a lot of fun, but that more people were needed. More on this parade at the next PAC Rats meeting.

F. Renaissance Faire: The PAC Rats annual pilgrimage to the Bristol Renaissance Faire is tentatively set for Sunday, August 5. Most of us will be leaving from the Clan Zurawicz household at 8:30am that morning. If it is out of your way to travel to South Holland, we will meet together at approximately 10:30am just inside the Faire entrance by the message board. Dressing in costume is optional, but highly recommended.

G. Fall Show: The PAC Rats will be performing three stories for Radio Theatre (Halloween Trilogy) on October 26, 27, 28 & 31 (Dates and times will be confirmed at next PAC Rats meeting). Barry Zurawicz will be directing. Accents (especially British) would be helpful. Auditions will be held shortly after close of Summer Kiddie Show. More on this at next PAC Rats meeting.

H. Labor Day Parade: Megan suggested that the PAC Rats look into participating in the Calumet City Labor Day Parade as a means to promote the Fall Show and the PAC Rats. More info on this at a later date.

4. Other Business
The next PAC Rats meeting
will be on Thursday, June 7 at 7pm in the PAC Lobby. Barry Zurawicz plans to bring and play some audio tapes of classic radio show programs (Suspense?) to show what he plans to do for the Fall Show.

5. Meeting was adjourned at 7:28 pm, with those in attendance staying to label audition flyers for Summer Kiddie Show.

Minutes were taken by Megan and embellished by Paul and (finally) put up on the web by Ellie.
