This months' musical selection is dedicated to Dr. Gloria Taylor and the GED Graduates. ;-)

Click here for additional updates and information not covered in the meeting.
Click here for a brief list of important dates for Rats to keep in mind in the coming weeks.
Meeting Called to disorder at 7:16pm

Those in attendance were Dawn & Scott Begin, Paul Braun, Tina Farmer, Diane Kaffka, Shannon Lisewski, Pat McHugh, Robert Sterling, Barry Zurawicz, & Bethany Zurawicz.

1. Reading of the minutes from last meeting was waived by those in attendance.

2. Old business
A. Memorial Day Parade Wrap-Up:
Thanks to everyone who helped with the South Holland Memorial Day Parade. These people include: Paul Braun, Tina Farmer, Marcus Hendricks, Diane Richter & Daughter, Min Rubbens, Joey & Mark Tassin, Barry, Megan & Bethany Zurawicz. We had just enough flyers to pass out, and the cookout after the parade went well. Plenty of bubbles were left over for the next parade.

3. New Business
A. Summer Kiddie Show:
Ellie Shunko will be directing Michelle Vacca's adaptation of The Emperor's New Clothes this summer. Auditions were held on Wednesday & Thursday, May 30 & 31 from 7-10pm in Lecture Hall A. Around 27 people auditioned, giving Ellie a tough task in choosing whom to cast for the show. Show dates will be Saturdays, August 18 & 25 at 11am & 2pm, and Sundays, August 19 & 26 at 3pm in the gazebo. Help will be needed for set construction, lighting, and concessions. More on this at the next PAC Rats meeting.

B. Great America: Our annual trip to Great America will be held on Sunday, June 24. We will be leaving from Clan Zurawicz at 8:30am. Thanks to Diane Kaffka, Rats can get a special discount by purchasing tickets from Diane for $22.75 each. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Saturday, June 16 (Check w/Diane for more details.) If it is out of your way to travel to South Holland, we will meet together at approximately 10:30am just inside the park by the Merry-Go-Round.

C. 4th of July Parade: We plan to participate again in the Dolton 4th of July Parade. More information will be available by the Great America trip.

D. Renaissance Faire: The PAC Rats annual pilgrimage to the Bristol Renaissance Faire is set for Sunday, August 5. Most of us will be leaving from the Clan Zurawicz household at 8:30am that morning. If it is out of your way to travel to South Holland, we will meet together at approximately 10:30am just inside the Faire entrance by the message board. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at participating Cub Foods stores (Tinley Park, Chicago Heights). Dressing in costume is optional, but highly recommended.

E. Fall Show: The PAC Rats will be performing three stories for Radio Theatre based on stories by Rudyard Kipling (The Mark of the Beast), Edgar Allen Poe (The Cask of Amontillado), and Mark Twain (The Canterville Ghost) on October 26, 27 & 31. Barry Zurawicz will be directing. Accents (especially British) would be helpful. Auditions will be held shortly after close of Summer Kiddie Show. More on this at next PAC Rats meeting.

4. Other Business
A. July outing to Navy Pier to see a play in Chicago?

B. The next PAC Rats meeting will be on Thursday, July 5 at 7pm in the PAC Lobby.

5. Meeting was adjourned sometime or another. (We forgot to look at the clock.)

Minutes were taken by somone or another and embellished by Paul and (finally) put up on the web by Ellie.
