Yeah, I know it's tacky, but it makes me laugh!

PAC Rats Clean Up Days! Two Saturdays:
January 23 & 30th from 10am - 5pm

The PAC Rat with his mop and bucket Hi kids! For the next two Saturdays, we'll be rolling up our sleeves and getting rid of the junk in the costume, prop and scene shops. Come and join us for a couple of days of getting dirty and being silly. On both days, lunch or dinner will be served up in fine PAC Rats style... pizza and soda! (or something else if you want it)

On the first Saturday, we'll work in the costume shop. Diane will be heading up the demolition crew. On day two, we'll finish the costume shop and work on the small prop room and the scene shop. Ellie will head up that demolition crew. Anything that we're throwing away is open game for anyone to keep, however, it must be removed from the premises that day. Sound like a plan? See you there!!

Also on January 30th are the auditions for the spring play, Romantic Comedy and money is due for anyone who wants to buy a PAC Rat t-shirt, long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt.

NOTE: Hansel and Gretel cast: Copies of the video tapes are here!! Come and get 'em!!

Minutes of PAC Rats Meeting, Friday, January 8, 1999

Meeting Called to (dis)order at 7:06pm

In Attendance: Eric Atkinson, Dawn Begin, Scott Begin, Tina Farmer, Marcus Hendricks, Chuck Kaffka, Diane Kaffka, Pat McHugh, Mike Moreno, Ellie Shunko, Heather Young, Barry Zurawicz, Bethany Zurawicz, Jennifer Zurawicz and Megan Zurawicz. Junior Rats: Sam Kaffka, Alex Kaffka

1. Popcorn machine update: While Chuck and Diane will take a peek at what's to offer at the next restaurant show, no plans to actually purchase a second machine are being made. Too much cash outlay for something we really only need once a year.

2. Carpet sweepers still need to be purchased. Ellie spent all the ready cash on those damn Santa hats, refreshments and candy canes for the Christmas concert.

3. Chuck is going to look into the cost of bar stools to be used for readers theatre type projects. Ellie wants 6 to 8 stools to have "on hand". Chuck says they can be gotten for a fairly reasonable price at Menards. We don't have an account at Menards, but might be able to spring some cash from the account.

4. T-Shirt orders were discussed. Heather brought up a good idea: Have shirts with long sleeves because it's always so bloody cold in the theatre. Sweatshirts were also wanted. Ellie will find prices of all these things and report back. Ellie said that whoever was at the Rat Meeting will get their "Rat Wear" for half price. Orders were taken for those present.

5. Clean up days: January 23 and 30, both Saturdays. Most everyone who was at the meeting will be there. We will order out lunch. No Dominos or Little Ceasar pizza. If there's pizza to be had, we'll get it from somewhere else. Good News / Bad news: Ellie has to leave early on the 23rd to attend the wedding of Ray-Ray Bardach and Philly Mae Cecil.

6. Auditions for Romantic Comedy are January 29 and 30. Jennifer Z has volunteered to be stage manager for Vern.

7. Chuck discussed his project The Haunting, which is set for October 30 and 31st and probably the weekend before. At any rate, we want 4 performances. Ellie will have to figure out what to do with the band concerts that are now moving to Friday nights. Yikes. A couple of scripts were handed out and those in attendance were reading the script aloud to get a "feel" for what the material is like.

8. We discovered after the meeting that a real honest to goodness play based on the original novel, The Haunting of Hill House, is held by Dramatists Play Service. Securing performance rights will be much easier.

9. Next official PAC Rats meeting is Friday, February 5 at 7pm in the PAC Lobby. We will show the movie "The Haunting" and talk about a production schedule. Additionally, Chuck has already started working on a schedule and sent the first draft to Ellie.

Meeting adjourned somewhere around 8:30pm. Minutes taken by Heather and transcribed by Ellie.
